1. Sensory method is one of the methods commonly used by hatcheries when selecting breeding eggs. The quality of seed eggs can be identified by human senses such as seeing, hearing and smelling, which can be roughly identified, and its identification speed is faster.

(1) Look, observe the appearance of the egg. Whether the eggshell structure, egg shape, size and surface plot are normal.

(2) Feel the smoothness or roughness of the egg shell and feel the weight of the egg.

(3) Ear listening: hold 3 eggs in each hand and turn the five fingers to make them collide with each other to listen to their voice. The sound of intact eggs is crisp. Cracks and broken eggs can be heard.

(4) Sniff the egg for normal smell and special smell.

2. Fluoroscopy is an accurate and simple method to comprehensively identify the seed eggs by using sunlight or egg illuminator to check the egg shell, air chamber, protein, blood spots, meat spots and other conditions through light. If the egg shell is found to be thinner, the air chamber is larger, the lacing is loose, the egg yolk membrane is broken, and the egg shell has cracks, it cannot be used as seed eggs.
